I illustrated this poster to gift to the members of Failure during the Rising Skyline Tour - they loved it so much that they offered it to fans on subsequent tour dates.
This poster pays tribute to the band's unmistakable blend of atmospheric rock, science fiction, and cosmic isolation. Inspired by the vibrant pulp sci-fi artwork of the 1960s and 1970s, the illustration features a retro-futuristic astronaut, the ominous celestial eye featured on the art work of Location Lost, and an alien landscape rendered in electrifying greens, magentas, and golds.
Hidden throughout the composition are several Easter eggs celebrating Failure's history and visual identity, including the iconic frog from Magnified, constellations from In the Future Your Body Will Be the Furthest Thing from Your Mind , and a rocket ship inspired by the cover art of Fantastic Planet.
